Argo adopts an integrated Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management System’s to which all of us adhere, exemplify the service offered to customers, crew and partners on a day-to-day basis.

Awarded with the shipping industry’s highest standards accreditation, Argo is a leading provider of Ship and Crew Management, it has been granted ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 certifications by RINA classification society, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant national and international legislation. Argo also holds Document of Compliance (DOC) issued by different Flag States, in full compliance with IMO rules – ISM Code.

There are many common or interfacing requirements between ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards and the ISM code, therefore the combination of these systems leads to a more efficient way of managing safety, quality, environmental issues, occupational health and safety and energy management.

  • The ISM Code focuses on the safe management and operation of ships and pollution prevention.
  • The ISO 9001 series is designed to ensure that customer requirements for quality are met.
  • ISO 14001 provides the elements of an effective environmental management system.

Document Management System

Argo’s safety and quality document management system increases safety and security on our managed vessels by providing permanent access to Argo procedures and guidance to perform tasks compliant with industry standards and regulations, it provides staff synchronized access to all the latest company procedures, manuals, and documents anytime, anywhere on the web and mobile. Even with limited internet connection on-board, the offline document system version allows users to get hold of Argo company documents, manuals and procedures.

We have a company culture, systems, and policies in place to address key ship management issues – occupational health and safety, cybersecurity, sanctions compliance, environmental protection, and ethical operations. This ensures our clients’ assets, operations and interests are protected at sea and ashore.

Code of Ethics

In compliance to the Italian Legislative Decree no. 231/2001 in order to ensure conditions of correctness and transparency in the performance of its activities, Argo has adopted an Organization and Management Model establishing the essential principle of the Company: the observance of laws, rules and company procedures to perform and report business operations, obtain appropriate authorizations and comply with all aspects of internal and external control. In this regard, it should be noted that the conviction of acting in some way for the benefit of the Company does not justify, for Argo, the adoption of conduct contrary to the principles expressed in the Company Code of Ethics.
